French into English translation of general, business, and technical texts.  In order to provide the best translations possible, I only translate into English, my native language. 

My translation rate, subject to the difficulty and complexity of the text, is roughly 2,000 words per day.  I do not use machine translation which is unreliable, inaccurate and often highly amusing; I do use computer aided translation (CAT) tools to increase consistency and accuracy.*

Proofreading of previously translated texts.  This service goes beyond editing a finished text by checking it for accuracy and comparing it to the source text.  Subject to the complexity of the text I offer proofreading at a rate of roughly 6,000 words per day.

Localization services for software, marketing texts, and websites.  I will make sure that your text means what you want it to mean without suffering from unfortunate cultural or linguistic barriers.

Websites, brochures, user manuals, safety guides, etc.
